How we are helping conserve the environment at room to think



Green Dragon Environmental Conservation

room to think has the Green Dragon Standard for Environmental Conservation

room to think has been awarded the Green Dragon Environmental Standard Level 2.

We are committed to providing comfortable green, eco friendly conference, meeting and training facilities that promote the environmental benefits of the West Wales area and ensuring our activities have the minimum adverse impact on the environment.



Organic Conversion

Organic conversion at eco friendly room to think

We are currently converting our 26 acres of pastureland, meadows, organic vegetable gardens and newly planted Welsh heirloom orchards to full organic status.

Organic systems recognise that our health is directly connected to the food we eat and, ultimately, the health of the soil. As part of this process we are committed to producing good food from a balanced living soil, without the use of artificial chemical fertilisers and pesticides.


Re-cycle

room to think re-cycles as part of environmental conservation

Our aim, is to recycle and re-use as much as possible to save natural resources, save energy, reduce the need for landfill and reduce the cost of disposal. We aim to use recycled products wherever possible, in the conference centre, self catering cottages and in our gardens.


Energy and Water conservation

Eco-friendly conference and meeting venue

In our eco-friendly conference centre and self catering accommodation, our aim is to reduce energy consumption by using low energy light bulbs wherever possible and using energy efficient appliances.

We harvest rainwater for use in the gardens and natural wildlife pond.


Shopping Locally

guests at our eco-friendly conference and meeting facilities are encouraged to shop locally

We always support our local economy by sourcing all our products and ingredients locally, using farm gate suppliers where possible, and in season we grow organic vegetables, fruit and eggs for our home-cooked catering.
